Dec. polls: Mahama receives copy of NDC manifesto


Former President John Mahama says he has received a copy of the National Democratic Congress manifesto for the 2020 polls from the manifesto committee of the party.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama said the manifesto will represent his social contract with Ghanaians as he seeks to lead the country again.
“I have received a copy of our manifesto for the December 2020 elections from the Manifesto Working Committee. This document, The People’s Manifesto, will represent the NDC and my social contract with the good people of Ghana.
“I thank you all for your contributions to the compilation, and as I have promised, I look forward to the Policy Dialogue Series through which I will be sharing details of the various sectors and themes of the Manifesto,” the NDC flagbearer wrote.
Meanwhile, the NDC has appointed former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies as its campaign manager for the 2020 polls.
He will be assisted by former Health Minister Alex Segbefia, the party said in a statement.
The statement also noted former National Security Coordinator Lt. Col. Larry Gbevlo -Lartey will serve as director of operations with former deputy Information Minister  James Agyenim Boateng as the Campaign Spokesperson.
It added Mawuena Trebarh and Ms. Margaret Ansei will be the Deputy Campaign Spokespersons, whilst Gen. R S Blay (rtd) is the Strategic Advisor to the Campaign Team.
Other members of the team include Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer; Hon Julius Debrah, former Chief of Staff; Hon Kofi Totobi Quakyi; Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Minority Leader; Hon Hudu Yahaya; George Opare Addo, National Youth Organizer; Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley; Dr. Valerie Sawyer; Hon Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Director of Elections; Hon Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Chairman; Ambassador Victor Smith; Comrade Joshua Akamba, National Organizer, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, National Women’s .Organizer; Alhaji Mohammed Mamah, National Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Hon Samuel Sarpong; and Dr. Nana Ama Brown Klutse.
