Mother of the teenager who died at Nkoranza Tuesday afternoon after irate youth clashed with police Eno Paa says her son would have turned 19 years on Thursday, May 19.
Eno Paa has been giving a chilling account of her son’s death on Akoma FM.
She wants swift investigation to secure justice for her slain son.
Identified as Victor Owusu and a student of Nkoranza Technical Institute, the 18-year-old was allegedly shot dead by police during Tuesday’s clash after the youth took to the streets of Nkoranza to register their displeasure over the alleged police killing of 27-year-old Albert Donkor.
Video of the teenager who was shot in the head during the demonstration has flooded the media space.
Speaking on Akoma FM‘s current affairs and political show GhanAkoma Wednesday, May 18, Eno Paa told host of the show in a sobbing voice that her son would have turned 19 on Thursday, May 19 but his life has been cut short because of the negligence of a police man.
“He is my only child, my one and only Victor has been shot dead oh God why me?” she cried.
The yam seller explained that her son was supposed to be in school but because of the demonstration he decided to join the protestors and has met her untimely death.
Madam Eno Paa appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for swift inquiry to unravel circumstances surrounding the death of her son.
