Unprecedented, no govt has tarred more roads in 4 or 5 yrs than Akufo-Addo’s – Presidential Staffer

No government in Ghana has tarred more roads within a five-year period than what the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has done, a Presidential Staffer, Mr Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has said.

He described this as unprecedented.

Speaking on the Big Issue with Roland Walker on TV3 Monday, Mr Miracles Aboagye said this forms part of the projects done out of the loans that have been contracted.

“Unprecedented, no government within a period of four or five years have been able to tar the number of kilometers of roads that we have tarred, over 3600killiometrs of roads that we have tarred,” he said.

He added “NDC came, they picked our debt from 9billion to almost about 122billion. We, admittedly, have moved it from 122billion to 400billion or whatever, but we have things to show for.

“We have private sector that we have supported to generate at least 127 factories that are operational and others that are being built, we have people who have been supported in private sector to ensure that their businesses thrive, we are spending about a billion Dollars every year to keep energy on.”
