The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Krachi Nchumuru, Mr. Nkrumah Ogyile, has announced that the Agenda 111 hospital in the district is on track to be completed and ready for use by June 2024.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr. Ogyile disclosed that the 60-bed capacity project has reached approximately 70 per cent completion. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the facility and tentatively indicated that the hospital would effectively serve the people.
The primary objective of the facility is to enhance the provision of quality healthcare at the district level and improve access to high-quality services for all citizens in the district.
Mr. Ogyile highlighted that upon completion, the Agenda 111 project will feature four state-of-the-art surgical theatres for maternity, obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as a full complement of male and female pediatric and isolation wards. Additionally, accommodation for doctors, nurses, and other health personnel will be provided.
Emphasizing the significance of the project, the DCE stated that a 60-bed District hospital is a substantial achievement that will significantly impact the well-being of residents by bringing healthcare delivery to their doorsteps. He commended the government for its foresight in undertaking such a vital project.
During a visit to the project site at Chinderi, Mr. Homant Gosal of the Shapoorji Pallonji construction firm reported that plastering work is currently in progress, among other ongoing activities.
