Kwahu Easter: Mahama expresses worry over abandoned Abetifi hospital project

The former President and flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has raised concerns about the abandonment of the Abetifi Hospital project in the Eastern region by the current administration. He expressed worry over the implications of this action, stating that it not only constitutes a waste of government funds but also denies the people access to quality healthcare.

During the NDC Kwahu Easter 24-hour walk on Easter Sunday, John Mahama emphasized the party's commitment to developing all regions and communities without discrimination. He highlighted the NDC's track record of ensuring that the people of Kwahu benefit from various projects, including education, roads, and healthcare.

In a Facebook post, John Mahama conveyed his deep concern about the Abetifi hospital project, which was initiated during his tenure and was almost completed but has since remained abandoned for nearly eight years after the NPP came into government. He underscored the detrimental impact of this neglect on the community and the wastage of government resources.

Furthermore, John Mahama reiterated his pledge to address youth unemployment by creating a dedicated ministry focused on creating an enabling environment for well-paying and decent jobs, as well as youth development. He emphasized the NDC's commitment to progress, equality, and inclusion, calling for collective efforts to make a tangible difference in the lives of Ghanaians.

In conclusion, John Mahama expressed gratitude for the support and participation in the walk, extending warm Easter greetings to all. His message conveyed a strong sense of determination to continue working towards a brighter and more prosperous Ghana for all its citizens.
