‘No grudge and tension between me and MP’, Dormaa East DCE



In a recent statement, Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang, the Dormaa East District Chief Executive (DCE), has refuted claims of any discord between himself and Mr. Paul Kwasi Apraku Twum-Barimah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the region. He categorically dismissed such assertions as baseless lies and unfounded rumors propagated by political opponents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).


Mr. Agyemang urged members and supporters of the NPP to disregard these false claims, emphasizing his commitment to supporting Mr. Twum-Barimah in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary election. He emphasized the need for unity within the party, especially in light of the impending political battle, and stressed the importance of strategizing for victory.


Speaking at the constituency delegates’ conference of the Party in Wamfie, Dormaa East District of Bono Region, Mr. Agyemang highlighted the unanimous approval of Mr. Twum-Barimah's candidature for the 2024 parliamentary election. The conference, overseen by officials from the District Office of the Electoral Commission, was attended by various party executives.


Mr. Agyemang expressed confidence in the NPP's ability to secure victory in the upcoming election, citing the numerous socio-economic development projects implemented by the Akufo-Addo government in the area. He called upon party members and supporters to actively promote and communicate the government's achievements in order to garner more support.


In conclusion, Mr. Agyemang reiterated the party's determination to retain the Dormaa East parliamentary seat and urged continued efforts towards publicizing the government's development initiatives across the country.
