Ada Paramount Chief is not dead – Traditional Council

In a recent development, the Ada Traditional Council has moved swiftly to dispel the unfounded rumors surrounding the alleged passing of Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku III, the esteemed Paramount Chief of the Ada State. It has been categorically stated that the Chief, who has dutifully served on the throne for an impressive 47 years, is indeed alive and well, contrary to the baseless claims propagated by certain individuals.

Nomo Jonathan Dorkutso, the Secretary to the Paramount Chief, addressed this matter during a press conference, highlighting that such misinformation tends to surface particularly during festive periods or in the lead-up to celebrations. Emphasizing the adverse impact of disseminating falsehoods about the paramount chief, Nomo Dorkutso underscored that such actions not only disrupt the peace and harmony within the Ada state but also stand in direct opposition to the established customs and traditions of Ada.

Furthermore, a stern warning was issued to the residents of Ada, cautioning against engaging in such deceitful conduct. It was made clear that individuals found involved in perpetuating these rumors would face severe consequences from the paramountcy. Expressing bewilderment at the recurrence of such baseless claims, Nomo Dorkutso questioned the motivations behind spreading such misinformation and stressed the need to afford the Paramount Chief the opportunity to peacefully enjoy his well-deserved retirement after decades of dedicated service to the Ada State.

In a separate announcement, Nomo Dorkutso revealed that the council is set to inaugurate this year's Asafotu Festival at the MacDan Sports Complex in Sege on May 30, 2024. This eagerly anticipated event promises to be a celebration of tradition and culture, further underscoring the rich heritage of the Ada community.

As we look ahead, it is imperative for all members of the community to uphold the values of honesty, respect, and integrity. By doing so, we can collectively contribute to the preservation of our traditions and the promotion of harmony within our beloved Ada State.
