Farmer's Discovery Sparks Election Malpractice Concerns in Afigya Kwabre North

A farmer in the Afigya Kwabre North constituency of the Ashanti Region has unearthed two suspected ballot boxes hidden in a bush, triggering outrage and raising serious concerns about potential election malpractice.  The discovery, made during the farmer's routine work, has sent shockwaves through the constituency and ignited calls for a thorough investigation.

The farmer, who has chosen to remain anonymous, immediately alerted local party executives after making the unexpected find. Upon inspection, the boxes appeared to contain ballot papers.

One box, identified as a parliamentary ballot box, bore the serial number 290401B and was tagged to the Abrim Ahenkro polling station. The second box, a presidential ballot box, carried the serial number 529060 and was reportedly assigned to the DA/Primary School Duaponko.

The incident has escalated tensions within the constituency, with stakeholders demanding an immediate and comprehensive investigation by the Electoral Commission (EC) and other relevant authorities.

The discovery casts a shadow over the integrity of the electoral process in the area, fueling demands for greater transparency and accountability.

The fact that the boxes were found hidden in a bush raises serious questions about the security measures in place to protect election materials.

The EC and other relevant authorities must act swiftly and decisively to investigate this matter.  Transparency is paramount in maintaining public trust and confidence in the electoral process.

A thorough investigation will not only determine the authenticity of the ballot boxes and their contents but also identify those responsible for this alleged act of electoral malpractice.

The outcome of this investigation will have significant implications for the credibility of the election results in Afigya Kwabre North and the broader Ashanti Region.  Failure to address this issue promptly and effectively risks undermining public trust in the democratic process.

The people of Ghana deserve free, fair, and transparent elections, and any attempt to subvert this process must be met with swift and decisive action.
