Parliament on Tuesday ratified the reappointment of Ms Cynthia Naa-Koshi Lamptey as the Deputy Special Prosecutor.
After prior approval from Parliament and in accordance with section 16(2) of the Office of the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959), Ms. Cynthia Naa-Koshie Lamptey was named deputy special prosecutor in May 2018 for a five-year tenure.
In May 2023, her initial 5-year term came to an end.
Alexander Afenyo Markin, the deputy majority leader, presented the report of the appointments committee, which was completed in camara, for her approval before moving for its adoption.
