We are pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Laumann, John Painstil, and Fatawu Dauda as assistant coaches for the Black Stars under the leadership of Coach Otto Addo.
Joseph Laumann brings a wealth of experience to the team, holding a UEFA pro-license and having previously played in Cyprus and Germany. His coaching career includes stints with reputable clubs such as Standard Liege, VfL Bochum, and Barnsley in the English championship.
Joining him in Coach Otto Addo’s backroom staff are former Ghanaian players John Painstil and Fatawu Dauda. Painstil, a Ghana legend with 89 caps, has an impressive playing career with clubs like Fulham, West Ham United, and Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa. He has also represented Ghana in two FIFA World Cup tournaments and was part of the squad that won Bronze in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. Painstil also brings coaching experience from his time as a former assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs and holding a CAF Licence B.
Fatawu Dauda, a former goalkeeper of Okwahu United, AshantiGold, and Orlando Pirates, has represented Ghana 23 times and featured in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. His experience both on the field and as a coach will be invaluable to the Black Stars.
We are confident that the addition of Joseph Laumann, John Painstil, and Fatawu Dauda to the coaching staff will greatly contribute to the success of the Black Stars. Their expertise and understanding of the game will undoubtedly benefit the team as they strive for excellence on the international stage. We look forward to a promising journey ahead under their guidance.
