One injured after car rams into jewellery shop at Adum

We are deeply concerned to report on a frightening incident that transpired in Adum, Kumasi, on Wednesday morning. A Toyota Vitz collided with a jewellery shop, resulting in one person being injured and causing significant damage to the store.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred due to a brake failure experienced by the driver of the Toyota Vitz with registration number AS 3897-23. This mechanical issue led the vehicle to veer off its designated lane and directly into the path of the jewellery shop along the roadside.

The impact of the crash was substantial, resulting in the shattering of the shop’s glass front and causing destruction to several jewellery items on display. It is fortunate that the store’s sales manager narrowly escaped harm by noticing the oncoming vehicle just moments before impact and managing to flee to safety.

Regrettably, a resident who was in close proximity to the shop sustained injuries as a result of this unfortunate incident.

We hope for a swift recovery for the injured individual and extend our sympathies to all those affected by this alarming event. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vehicle maintenance. We urge all drivers to prioritize regular vehicle checks and maintenance to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
