Health professionals at Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital Protest over inadequate speed ramps

The health professionals at Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital have recently raised concerns regarding the safety of the hospital entrance on the Koforidua-Mampong to Accra road. Following a tragic incident in which a staff nurse was fatally hit by a speeding vehicle, the health professionals have issued a one-week ultimatum to the government to address the issue.

Specifically, the health professionals are calling for the installation of speed ramps and a footbridge at the hospital entrance in order to enhance safety for both staff and patients. They have emphasized the urgent need for these measures to prevent further accidents and ensure the well-being of all individuals accessing the hospital.

In light of this demand, the health professionals have expressed their willingness to take further action, including the possibility of a strike, if their requests are not promptly addressed by the government.

The safety and security of both healthcare workers and patients are of paramount importance, and it is imperative that the necessary measures are taken to mitigate the risks associated with the current state of the hospital entrance.

It is hoped that the government will heed the concerns raised by the health professionals and take swift action to implement the requested safety measures, thereby demonstrating its commitment to ensuring the welfare of those working at and seeking care from Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital.
