Ghana needs to advance - Bawumia.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, has reaffirmed his commitment to leading Ghana toward greater change and economic progress during his prospective administration.

Dr. Bawumia addressed ecstatic party supporters after submitting his presidential nomination form at the party's Accra headquarters on Friday, June 16. He pledged to turn the nation's fortunes around if elected.

He declared his desire to build on the solid foundation currently being maintained by the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

By expanding on the current foundations, I believe it's about time to take Ghana to the next level. Along with you, I want to see Ghana achieve inclusive economic growth by utilizing technology, data, and systems. The digital hub of Africa should be Ghana, in my view. In order to transform the delivery of healthcare, education, and other public services, among other things, I want us to close the digital divide and use digital technology and artificial intelligence.

He further stressed his 22-year journey, which included his time serving as the Bank of Ghana's deputy governor under the Kufuor administration to the current administration, and his unshakable commitment to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghana.

"I have worked diligently with you for the NPP and for Ghana over the past 22 years, starting when I served as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, through our time in opposition, and now that we are in power.

"During this time, I have made sacrifices for the party and have consistently stood up for it in both easy and difficult circumstances. Never! and I have established a strong performance history as Vice President with an unwavering allegiance to our party and the government in good times and bad, he concluded.
