We are pleased to announce that the Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled the online re-exhibition of the 2024 Provisional Voter Register, which will take place from Tuesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19, 2024. This decision follows the assurance given by the Electoral Commission during the Special IPAC meeting on October 1, to re-exhibit the revised Provisional Voter Register (PVR) online.
The primary objective of this online re-exhibition is to provide registered voters with the opportunity to verify their details and report any discrepancies to the Commission for correction. This initiative aims to address concerns raised by various stakeholders, including the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and ultimately facilitate a smoother voting process leading up to the 2024 General Elections.
According to a statement released by the EC on Monday, October 14, registered voters can check their details via a short code *711*51# free of charge starting from Tuesday, October 15. Additionally, voters can also access their details on the EC’s website: https://ec.gov.gh. By clicking on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen and entering their 10-digit Voter ID number, voters will be able to retrieve their voter registration details.
It is important to note that any identified discrepancies should be reported to the District Office of the Commission where the voters are registered, for necessary corrections. It is emphasized that once the Re-Exhibition Exercise concludes on Saturday, 19th October, voters will still have the ability to check their details online, but will not be able to request corrections after this period.
Furthermore, political parties are encouraged to utilize the Template provided by the Commission to submit any discrepancies identified during the re-exhibition period.
We urge all registered voters and stakeholders to actively participate in this re-exhibition process and take advantage of the opportunity to ensure that their voter registration details are accurate. This collaborative effort will contribute to a transparent and credible electoral process as we look forward to the 2024 General Elections.
