Ghana Trade Fair redevelopment to be completed by end of year – CEO

We are pleased to announce that the redevelopment of the Ghana Trade Fair site is well underway and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Agnes Adu, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Trade Fair Limited, has provided an update on the progress of this ambitious project, which includes the construction of a major convention center.

The construction of the convention center is a significant milestone for Ghana, as it will greatly enhance the country’s capacity to host international events and trade fairs. Madam Adu has emphasized the importance of this development in positioning Ghana as a key player in the global business and trade arena.

In her update, Madam Adu highlighted that substantial progress has been made on essential infrastructure. She noted that 90% of the roads, drainage systems, power supply, water facilities, and data fiber connections have already been completed. This foundational work is crucial in ensuring that the Trade Fair site meets modern standards and can accommodate a wide range of activities once the redevelopment is finalized.

In addition to the convention center, the redevelopment plans also include the construction of a hotel, retail spaces, and a data center. Madam Adu revealed that the construction of these additional facilities is scheduled to commence in early 2025. This expansion will further bolster the site’s capabilities and provide more amenities for visitors and exhibitors.

The redevelopment of the Ghana Trade Fair holds great promise for revitalizing the country’s trade and exhibition landscape. It is anticipated that the revamped Trade Fair will attract both local and international businesses, ultimately contributing to the economic growth of Ghana.

With the CEO’s assurance of timely completion, stakeholders remain optimistic about the potential economic benefits that the redeveloped Trade Fair will bring to Ghana. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this transformative project on Ghana’s business and trade sector.
